HIMIOFoTS is an integrated infrastructure for the observation and monitoring of the water resources in Greece and consists by the marine and inland water components. The thematic areas of these components cover a wide range of activities regarding the marine and inland water research such as the continuous monitoring of the water environment and the production of forecasting products through well-known hydrodynamic, waves and ecosystem numerical models using state of the art techniques for the assimilation of data collected from satellite and insitu observations.
