The infrastructure is coordinated by the School of Civil Engineering of the NTUA and comprises five components:

(a) Recording and evaluation of existing country infrastructures (metering networks, databases), towards the development of a national network for the monitoring of hydro-environmental information on surface hydrosystems
(b) Organization of geographic data and related information
(c) Information system implementation
(d) Development of low - cost intelligent technologies for the measurement and real - time transmission, and
(e) Integration into the system of the participants’ metering infrastructure
